Question by Matt S: How much horsepower does a 1966 Ford Mustang have?
I am looking into buying a 1966 Ford Mustang from my friend and I was just wondering how much horsepower it was. I asked my friend but he didn't know. I could probally find it somewhere. But this is easyer. It is a 1966, coupe, 6 cylinder, automatic transmission, Ford Mustang. It is not a Shelby Mustang. Just a standard Mustang. It needs a little work, but the engine is fine. All orignal parts. Thank you!

120HP.
If it was factory supplied with a auto trans, it was one of 5469 of such built, out of a total of 607,568, so could be worth some money if in good condition.

If you are in business for yourself or if you just need a good second family vehicle, this is a great time to find great prices on used Chevy trucks. Due to many government and dealer incentives, many people have been trading in their larger used trucks. Obviously a good number of owners have traded in their used Chevy trucks which is good for smart shoppers.
The media's negative publicity concerning the auto industry and increasing operating costs have motivated a lot people to buy new cars. That is good news for those of us looking for used Chevy Trucks for sale. While dealerships give lousy trade-in values for full size vehicles at this time, they haven't seen fit to lower their selling prices very much since they really want to sell their new cars. Of course this is how the dealerships make their money. There is little doubt that new vehicles might get better gas mileage, an experienced shopper will consider their actual needs and total expenses relating to use. If you can buy a strong Chevy truck that has a history of a long useful life, you could save money over the lifetime of the vehicle when compared to buying a new vehicle. For business use, nothing can replace the versatility of owning a truck.
On the other hand, many of these same dealerships are now selling their used Chevy trucks by online car auctions. Don't be turned off by the term "auction" in this case. These car auctions are simply a means of selling their inventory at prices lower then you'll find on their dealer car lots. Some might hesitate at buying a vehicle online. But consider the seller has to be completely honest in presenting his Chevy truck for sale. He has to include good photos, and put everything in writing. In many cases, this is more then you receive when you deal with a live salesman at a dealership. The online auction system is very strict concerning seller regulations so if a seller wants to maintain a good online reputation, he has to satisfy his customers. That is more then can be said for many local car dealerships today.
So don't give up on buying a used Chevy truck if you have the need for a larger vehicle. Their superior quality can provide you with years of good service at a bargain price if you know where to shop.
